Bullying

Tuesday, January 31, 2012

Bullying... As this picture above says, "Cyber Bullying Affects Real Lives" and "Bullying Hurts... inside and out"! Well, it's not lying. Bullying does affect people, but all people react to it differently. Bullying does HURT! When I was in public school as a kid, I never got "bullied" as you could say, punched in the face, or anything like that, I just got picked on, and got name-called. Now, some people might say those things aren't really a big deal, and that I should just move on... But, I'm a very sensitive and emotional person. I don't take things very lightly. I take things certain ways, and can't help it when things upset me. Some things upset me more than others, especially when I'm being called "stupid" or any other kind of mean name of those sorts. But, I have *real* friends and family that convince me not to listen to those kinds of people, and that I'm smart, beautiful, and that I can accomplish *anything* with Christ!

Now, I have noticed other sorts of bullying, and that is..... Cyber bullying. I've seen it a lot, especially on Youtube, facebook, gmail, etc. People put up videos out of confidence and then just get nasty comments. I always want to cry while reading them, because what if those words were said to me? I would feel terrible.... What irks me more than anything is when people anonymously say bad things on their status' bashing people, and using foul language just to get the message across. I don't know that I've ever seen such terrible things being said (On Facebook) when bullying someone.

No one deserves to get harsh words thrown at them... especially not the people already dealing with something; maybe with family or friends, etc. I know how it feels to get made fun of, and I have to admit, it's not a bowl full of ice cream.. But I've got it better than a lot of kids do. All kids deserve to have a happy high school experience, and the constant drama between people just makes it all the more worse.

Some kids out there deal with anything you can possibly think of that makes them less confident, and there will always be people that are going to be rude and comment on how "ugly" they are. But the truth is, They have no clue what they are talking about! Everyone is beautiful in their own way.. Everyone goes through a stage of braces, glasses, and acne. Everyone *has* to go through it at some point, and it *will* pass!

I've seen a quote lately on Facebook, and I really like it... "If you have a problem, Face it! Don't Facebook it!" I can expand on this quote and say, "If you have a problem with someone, talk to them in person, don't talk about it all over the internet!" People can get hurt in so many ways... It kills me to know that people are actually cruel enough to say mean things to a person on the computer... to someone that they may or may not even know, and to make sure that they feel as miserable as possible. Another thing I've heard is that when people are bullies, they are doing it to make themselves feel better. But, that's still not a good way to deal with things! Other people out there have problems, too.. And don't need to get more things put on their shoulders.

BUT, when there is bullies, you can always find Jesus as a friend! He will be there through every obstacle that you face, and will in time, fix it. He wants us to trust Him with our life! He's got a plan.. We may not like what that plan is, but he has something that will come out of it..

Here's some advice for some of you...
You are BEAUTIFUL, so don't let people get you down! You're too worth it to want to end your life over what people say..... I love you, God Loves You, and You *ARE* important!

I hope I have helped you today(:

Recognition(:

Wednesday, January 25, 2012

This week when I went back to school, I got a lot of papers back for school that I had completed before break. In my favorite class, I got the best grade! 97% on my big Compare & Contrast Essay, so.. that's an A!!!
I couldn't have been more excited! Just the recognition of my grades, knowing that I worked extremely hard to get them, just made me feel so good! But, I can't take all the credit.. I got help from my amazing parents, who suggested I compare Jonathan Edwards and Thomas a Kempis. I didn't want help.. Just wanted to do it myself, but I just did what they asked, anyway. I wasn't happy about it, until I really started to read about the men I was comparing.. I thanked my dad for helping me, and for making me write my paper on those two guys.... Because as it turns out, it got to be pretty easy! Writing it was difficult and definitely a challenge, but I got a lot of help, got a lot out of it, and I'm glad I didn't do it alone!

I also got help from my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ! So, THANK YOU, JESUS<3!!!!! I could not have done *any* of it without him. Funny, he can't appear on earth as a visible person and "help" me, but through His Word, constant "conscious" thoughts going through my head, and *LOTS* of prayer, I did it & got through it! I was nervous after handing it in, but I knew that whatever grade I got, it wouldn't really matter.... Because, I worked my absolute hardest on it! I did the best I could... What more, than doing your best?!

The morning that I would get my paper back, I was a nervous wreck! I thought the worst possible things ever, but then I stopped myself... I thought, "God knows... And, I will know later, anyhow. I just need to be patient." All throughout the day, I was still consciously thinking, "Oh no! I hope it was okay." The moment leading up to when my paper was handed to me, I prayed silently to God, asking him to help me calm down, and just be okay with my grade! I took a deep breath, and flipped my paper over to find... a 97%!! :) I smiled big, and never stopped! It was the most amazing moment at that time for me. I was so happy, and I kept thanking God!! He knew *ALL* along, and I was worried over nothing!

Another *big* moment for me that day was when I got an email from my teacher, and I was quite scared, because I thought maybe I had done something wrong... I didn't. It was for my semester grades! I took another deep breath and opened up the email... My final grade for the semester was an averaged grade of 96.13%!! That is also an A! I couldn't believe it... That day was an amazingly great day, and I could not have been happier!

It's amazing what God has done for me this year, already. He has helped me overcome one of my *BIGGEST* obstacles since I was young! I'm not completely over it yet, but.... He has continually blessed me with knowledge this year, and I'm absolutely as happy as I could ever be in life.. I give *ALL* of the credit to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!!!! :)

I absolutely *like* this verse so much:
Philippians 4:13, "I can do *ALL* things through Christ, who strengthens me!"

It definitely fits in my life, and I try to just trust in God with my life, because I can do *anything* according to Him!!! :)

Thanks for reading!!!

Love and God Bless you,

Forgiveness and Sins

Thursday, January 5, 2012

Have you ever felt like you screwed up really bad? I can for sure say that I have. In fact, more than a handful of times have I felt that way in my life! I think, "Now, WHY did I do that? That was really stupid of me." The thought of what I have done in the past has never actually gone away, and it'll be stuck in my mind forever, regardless of how many times I try to push it away. And the question is.... "WHY does it never go away?" "WHY does it have to stay in my mind forever, and sometimes haunt me?!" Well, because, it's something we've done, that's wrong, and we feel guilty about it, and that something will come out of it in the end, even if we think we're just going to live in misery for the rest of our lives.. Instead of asking, "Why?" I just try to ask God, "What are you trying to teach me through this?!" God has a plan that will come out of that bad decision... He always does that for me, and then my eyes are completely opened!

You see, GOD forgives us! He throws away our sins in the deepest part of the sea, and spreads them as far as the east is to the west! How incredible is that?!

Colossians 3:12-14,
"Put on then as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another, and if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive; And above all these things, put on love, which binds everything in perfect harmony."

Psalm 103:8-13,“The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide,  nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him.”

He died for our sins, threw them away, and he doesn't bring them back up again. The only person that does that is ourselves, and even Satan will do that. But, God does NOT hold our sin against us! Satan does it to make us feel absolutely horrible, and guilty, and never lets us forget it! But, even if we think about how awful of a person we are, and how awful our sin is, God has already forgiven it... That's the reason he was nailed to the cross! How amazing is that?! That God sent his only son to live on this earth, to die and have forgiven every one of our sins. I think that is *SO* incredible! Yet, even for the incredible things God has done for us, we still disobey him, and we still disappoint him. We are sinners, and always will be, but that doesn't give us an excuse. We are responsible for every sin we commit, and sometimes... we just don't care about if we're hurting God or not, just because we are stubborn.

I know for a fact that I want to do God's will, and that I love him, and wish I could do things for him. But, it's not easy admitting that I'm a terrible sinner, and hurt God every single day with my actions. I am very stubborn sometimes, and just want to do what I want, and that gets me into trouble. I don't try to be that way, but I do have that nature inside of me when I get angry, upset, confused, hurt, and any other kinds of emotions to do whatever my emotion is.
After I sin, I just try to be alone for as long as I need. I can't ask God to forgive me if I'm around people, especially the people I have done wrong to. I try to take a walk, and just be with God, or read my Bible, and write out my frustrations, and then pray, multiple times. Then after I sin, there comes the hardest part of sinning.... To ask the person you love for... forgiveness! That is the hardest part for me to do, and I often can't say what I need to say without breaking down. It's very hard for me to ask for forgiveness because I know that this person was mad at me, and they are probably still angry, and aren't in the mood for talking and being asked for forgiveness. But, I do it, anyway. I feel so good about it in the end!

A lot of the time, my parents come to me first, before I come to them. Which, on my part, is easier, because I automatically just forgive them. Even sometimes, I fall into their arms and cry, and ask for forgiveness for my wrongdoing! It's not as hard doing it when the other person comes to you first... but, I do have to say, it is still very hard!

It's a lot easier to get it out, then bottling it up, while it's eating you alive inside. I have had several of these times, when I just can't sleep when sin or someone else's sin is eating me alive because I won't tell anyone. I have broken a friendship before because I kept it bottled up inside me, and it would bother me, so I told my parents about that sin. The person found out, and they lost all their friends that we were both connected with. I felt horrible for doing that to her, but I knew I did the right thing. We eventually talked again, and she forgave me, but I will always feel the brokenness between us.

Always remember that God forgives you! He loves you SO much! Just remember the reason that he died on the cross.... it was for you... and your sin. Regardless of how bad your sin was, he still died for it! He still suffered for that sin that you committed. Whether you're an adulterer, a covetous, a blasphemer, a liar, a cheater, a non-Believer, etc. He will always have suffered for you. He loves us all THAT much! He really does... Even if you think you're terrible and that no one could love you after the sin you committed. But, God does..and he always will!

I hope you enjoyed reading this and that I have encouraged you, because I enjoyed telling you about my struggles, and what I've learned from it! :-)

God Bless,

A New Year(:

Sunday, January 1, 2012

Today starts the beginning of 2012! I had an incredible growing year in 2011. I've changed and grown spiritually, made lots of decisions, made new friends, got to know my old friends better, and have gotten closer to God.....But, I've also gone through hard times and trials... And through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I have gotten through it ALL! I still have lessons yet to learn in 2012! But, I hope to make 2012 an even greater year than this year, and grow in my walk with Jesus, my BEST friend :-)

I'm SO thankful that I met each and everyone of my friends and family and I don't know what I would do without any of them! They have all helped me become the person I want to be... I want to be GOD'S girl, and *HIS* only! I've met so many new people that have encouraged me in my walk with the Lord, and I've wanted to make good choices in my life and I couldn't be HAPPIER with it! :-)

Every year I always have New Years Resolutions! This past year, I made resolutions, and kept every single one of them! I was really excited! These resolutions were:

1. Staying away from pop for a whole year.
2. Being *FEARLESS*
3. Being *NEGATIVELESS*
4. To be closer to God

I succeeded!! :) I've been told by my friends and family that they are so proud of me, and that they support me in whatever I do! It's amazing to get so much support from the people that I love! This year, I have some of the same resolutions as I had last year, but I have new ones, so that I can keep adding on to all of the resolutions to keep!

My resolutions for this year are:

1. Reading my Bible the whole way through
2. Memorizing Scripture more
3. To be more responsible.
4. To tell one or more people about Jesus, and my testimony!
5. Being *FEARLESS*
6. Being *NEGATIVELESS*
7. To be closer to God
8. To stay away from pop
9. To pray without ceasing
10. To keep a journal to pencil in my life's journey.

As you can see, I have a lot of resolutions I would love to keep! I hope to have as much support as I can... God has a plan for this season in my life, and I will have opportunities to grow throughout this year, and I hope to grow as much as I can, spiritually! There will be things I'll struggle with, and have to keep re-trying, but with God, anything is possible and I can do ALL things through him!

Philippians 4:13-
"I can do ALL things through Christ, who strengthens me!"

God knows my strengths and weaknesses! He knows where I stumble, where I stand high, and when I just seem to mess up. But, as told millions of times by my friends and family, and the Bible, I can do ALL things through *HIM* who strengthens me!!! I really can, and I believe that with all my heart. :-)
I pray that God will help me keep all of these resolutions and that they are good enough to stay on top of.. I trust in the LORD with all my HEART, SOUL, STRENGTH, and MIND! I will keep reminding myself of this awesome truth about my Lord and Savior, each and everyday, and to just let him control my life, and have me just going along for the ride... :-)

The ride of life will be like a roller-coaster! Ups and downs, but it depends on the outlook of life.. A roller-coaster has the moments of fun and good times, but also of nervousness and times when you're not sure about what to do. My life happens to be like a roller-coaster at some points, but I have to continually choose to not look at my life on the downside.. But the side toward Christ, where I ask him... "Lord, what are you trying to teach me through this?" Throughout this year, I plan on asking God that question, instead of "Why are you doing this to me?" Again, it won't be easy, but I'd rather learn from it, than have the easy way out. :-) I have learned SO much this past year, and I hope to keep growing in wisdom, and encouraging others!

I love all you guys so much & thank you for reading! It means so much! Hope you enjoyed it! :-)

God Bless,
